KNS Works was established in 1986 by Jak Kunstler and Dean Newton. It was the result of over 15 years of collaboration between Jak and Dean in the liquidation and appraisal business.  Kunstler Newton Services was in the business of appraisals, moving, storage and auctions of distressed bank assets including real estate.  Dean Newton retired in 2012, and the company was rebranded as KNS Works LLC.  Louisiana Purchase Real Estate LLC, Louisiana Purchase Real Estate & Development LLC, RED Construction LLC, ServiceMaster by KNS Works and ServiceMaster of the South are all subsidiaries of KNS Works LLC.
